AR conducts pre-medical exam, distributes relief items

Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted a pre-medical examination for candidate aspirants of the upcoming SSC GD constable recruitment rally for the year 2024 at Assam Rifles Unit Hospital, Churachandpur district on Thursday.
The pre-medical examination was conducted with an aim to examine the medical fitness of each candidate and to identify any health issues.
A total of 79 aspirants (16 women and 63 men) from 15 villages of Churachandpur district were examined by the medical team of Assam Rifles, said a release issued by PRO IGAR (S).
In another release, the PRO informed that Assam Rifles distributed relief material packages to the residents of Songkhom village in Chandel district as part of Operation Sadbhavna 2023-24 on Thursday.
"This distribution initiative in Songkhom village represents a modest yet crucial stride toward providing essential livelihood amenities.
Beyond meeting the daily needs of the villagers, this effort is designed to catalyse financial benefits, symbolizing a meaningful step toward sustainable development," the release said.
"The dedication of Assam Rifles to spur positive changes and contribute to the socio-economic well-being of the local communities within its operational purview is evident in this endeavour as this initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also underscores a broader commitment to fortify the symbiotic relationship between the security forces and the residents of Manipur, even amidst challenging circumstances," the release added.
