Fasting and prayer programme held for students

Senapati, February 01 2024: The Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) organised a fasting and prayer programme at Khabung Karong Baptist Church today for students who will be appearing the Higher Secondary School Examinations this year .

Pastors of Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union delivered short gospel messages during the programme that continued till mid-noon.

Pastor R S Abraham spoke on the topic "Education with religion" and urged the students to have faith in the Creator.

He went on to state that the roots of education may be bitter but its fruits are sweet and advised the students to focus on their studies and work sincerely to achieve greater heights.

He further maintained that life has become much easier for the students as compared to olden days when there was no proper educational facilities and the students had to walk long distances to reach schools to attain education.

The Pastor also advised the students to make the best of facilities which they are receiving now and strive to become responsible citizens rather than having regrets later.

It may be noted that other Pastors also spoke on different topics and motivated the students to strive for better.

More than 500 students along with their school principals, lecturers, parents and guardians attended the programme.
