AR organises community outreach activities

With the aim to foster unity, promote health and hygiene, and nurture civil-military relations, Assam Rifles organised a series of community outreach activities on Wednesday in Chandel and Tengnoupal districts.
According to PRO IGAR (S), in Chandel district, a friendly volleyball match was conducted at Kovang, Aibol Joupi and Old Samtal villages, with active participation from local youth and Assam Rifles personnel, and over 113 villagers witnessing the event, aimed at encouraging sportsmanship and serving as a platform to deepen community ties.
Winners and outstanding performers were felicitated with attractive prizes distribution ceremony, said the PRO.
In Tengnoupal district, Assam Rifles conducted a cleanliness drive at Pangal Basti and Chavangphai village (Kaikong Dung and Luipi Dung), participated by around 150 individuals, including members of various civil society organisations.
The drive, conducted under the guidance of community leaders, emphasised the importance of hygiene, environmental care, and civic responsibility, the PRO informed in a release.
