Month-long World Oral Health Day ends

The month-long observance of World Oral Health Day (March 20 - April 20) concluded on Sunday with a free mega dental health camp at Kangmong Public High School.
The event was organised by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch, in collaboration with the National Oral Health Program and the District Health Society, Imphal West.
Held under the theme "A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind", the camp was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and to provide free dental care to the community.
Attending the event, Konthoujam MLA Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh interacted with attendees and urged them to adopt healthy oral hygiene practices.
As part of the outreach effort, he also distributed toothbrushes to children to promote preventive oral care.
A team of 30 doctors, including IDA Manipur office bearers, conducted dental check-ups and treatments for over 300 patients.
Services included oral health screen ings for conditions such as oral cancer, along with free treatments such as dental fill ings, scaling and extractions.
The attendees received medications, toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwashes as part of the initiative.
