Training on Manipuri folk dance ends

The valedictory function of 22-day long training cum production on Manipuri folk dance organised by Royal Artiste Academy for Culture Heritage (RAACH), Manipur since March 10, concluded on Sunday at Ima Nungthel Lairembi community hall, Top Siphai.
The programme was attended by Deepti Academy founder Doren Khaba Nganba, Mayai Lambi College associate professor Yumnam Nimai and RAACH president Leiphrakpam Tombi as members on the dais.
As part of the programme, students showcased various techniques of Manipuri folk dance learnt during the training.
According to RAACH secretary Tekcham Tekchamba, the training was especially organised with the aim to impart techniques of traditional dance forms to the young minds so as to preserve the same for the future generations, adding that, a total of 15 girl students attended the training course.
