Mayophung Village Authority expresses discontent over pathetic road condition of NH 102 road strech

Imphal, March 27 2025: The Mayophung Village Authority, Litan, Ukhrul District has expressed discontentment over the unfinished/delayed construction ofNH-202 from Yaingangpokpi to Finch comer.

Due to the slowness of work and non-construction of culverts and drainage, the road is riddled with potholes, dust and the streets are often flooded during the rainy season, said the village authority.

Urging the CSOs and authorities concerned to explore the road conditions of the NH-202 stretch from Yaingangpokpi to Finch corner, the village authority stated that it will begin various forms of agitation from April 1, 2025 if the NHIDCL fail to commence the construction works (black topping, culvert and drainage) along the stretch.

The authority further warned that if any untoward incident happens during the agitation, the NHIDCL must bear the responsibility.
