Kakching, April 22 2025: Kakching district administration, in collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Cell of the Social Welfare Department, organised the closing ceremony of the 7th Poshan Pakhwada at Keirak Keithel Lampak community hall, on Tuesday.

The event was attended by Shanti Leima as chief guest, with Dr Thaodem Rajen, CMO Kakching, and Y Achouba, ZEO Kakching, as guests of honour.

Ningthoujam Parango, DPO/CDPO Kakching, attended as president.

N Devendro, food safety officer Kakching, delivered a keynote address on food safety practices.

In addition to the programme, attendees participated in a community sports event, and essential supplies - including notebooks - were distributed to beneficiaries.

The 7th Poshan Pakhwada 2025, observed from April 8 to 23, focuses on the critical importance of the first 1,000 days of a child's life.

Under the themes of maternal and infant nutrition, digital accessibility for beneficiaries, and combating childhood obesity, this edition prioritises outcome-driven interventions to enhance nutritional wellbeing.
