Imphal, April 26 2025: The All Tribal Rights Protection Forum has appealed to the concerned authority at the Public Works Department to initiate early retender for the work of widening and improvement of Shangshak to Tengnoupal Road in the interest of the public.

A press release issued by All Tribal Rights Protection Forum has appealed all concerned public to refrain from disturbing or hampering developmental works due to one's personnel interest and instead urged them to adhere to the guidelines or provisions given by the competent authorities for smooth and early completion of the developmental works in the hills.

This is in connection with the expansion work of roads for the construction of National Highways within Ukhrul-and Kamjong district as notified by the DCs of the two districts.

It had notified that all new house structures constructed after the publication of "3A Gazette Notification" will not be included in the assessment of compensation or rehabilitation.

The Forum has alleged that unscrupulous erection of road side structures possibly led the PWD authority to cancel the tender for the work of widening and improvement of Shangshak-Tengnoupal Road.
