Cattle vaccination drive held at Kumbi

Bishnupur, April 25 2025: As part of the National Animal Disease Control Programme, a vaccination drive was conducted on Friday at Kumbi Municipal Council (KMC), Ward No 9, aimed at protecting domestic animals from various diseases.

The programme was led by Ward No 9 councillor and KMC former vice chairperson Wahengbam Bobichand Luwang, alongside ICDP, Kumbi in-charge Kh Shantichandra, under the supervision of Bishnupur District Veterinary joint director Dr Bidyaraini Tongbram.

During the drive, vaccines were administered against Foot and Mouth Disease (EMD), Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS) and Black Quarter (BQ) .

A total of 53 cows were vaccinated along with ear tagging.
