War committee to honour scribes, intellectuals

Imphal, April 24 2025: Justice Committee on Anglo-Manipuri War 1891, Martyrs and Freedom Fighters of Kangleipak has announced that five journalists and intellectuals will be honoured with awards for their efforts in raising public awareness on various important issues.

In a release, the Committee informed that senior journalist Hemanta Kumar Ningomba, Imphal Times editor Rinku Khumukcham, Kangla Pao editor Paonam Labango Mangang, Elite TV chief editor Jit Ningomba and Manipur University Department of Law head Dr Yumnam Premananda Singh will be honoured with cash award, certificate and simple present.

The awards distribution ceremony will be held on Friday at Khongjom Tenggol Leikai community hall.
