Imphal, April 30 2024: In connection with the observance of Labour Day (May Day), Association of Voluntary Blood Donors (AVBD) Manipur, Lonja Alepa Foundation, Personality and Talent Development Organisation (PATDO) and Lainingthou Sanamahi Lup (LSL) jointly organised a camp aimed at encouraging and facilitating donation of blood, eye and organs at JNIMS Blood Transfusion Centre, on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines, AVBD Manipur treasurer Sarangthem Kumarjit informed that the 3rd trilogy of blood, eye and organ donation camp has been organised under the theme "Shinmee-Shingbu Ikai Khumnaba Utchaba Oina Makhoigi Mingda Kathokch-aba EE", as a mark of respect to labourers on the occasion of Labour Day, which falls on Wednesday.

During the camp, 20 people donated blood and pledged for donation of eyes and organs, he said, while adding that similar camps were also conducted at different hospitals in the state in the past and will continue in the future as well.
