Imphal, April 03 2025: Wangkhei MLA Thangjam Arunkumar inspected development works taken up in his constituency, particularly construction and cleansing of drainage on Thursday.

During the inspection, MLA Arunkumar instructed corftractor and individuals concerned to expedite completion of the drain de-clogging activities and construction of new drainage before onset of the monsoon.

Speaking on the Sidelines, the MLA acknowledged that his constituency frequently faces flash flood despite being located in Imphal.

Considering the plight of the people seriously, he started taking up programme to pre vent flooding in the area.

As such cleansing of the drains and construction of drainage was taken up on priority basis in phased manner.

He urged the residents not to dispose of garbage in the drainage system.
