ABDWJU observes 8th foundation day

Bishnupur, April 26 2025: The 8th foundation day of All Bishnupur District Working Journalist Union (ABDWJU) was observed today at Bishnupur Municipal Council Conference Hall.

Addressing the gathering, Th Shanti, MLA, Moirang AC highlighted the role of journalists in showing the public the truth, informing them about current events and other Governmental works.

Calling the media fraternity as a bridge between the public and the Government, he said that the three primary organs of the Government, the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary are of great importance to journalists.

Other notable dignitaries at the event include Lourembam Bikram Singh, DC Bishnupur; A Kishankumar Singh, secretary; MLA Oinam AC Irengbam Nalini Devi; All Bishnupur District Working Journalists' Union president Y Samananda Mangang and representatives of CSOs and meira paibi groups from the district.
