Senapati, March 23 2025: The Senapati District Police on Sunday arrested a couple with 25 kg of ganza at Senapati during routine checking.

The said exercise was initiated under the overall command and supervision of Dharmendra Kumar Tyagi, IPS, SP Senapati.

According to police source, while conducting a random frisking and checking along the NH-2 below Mt Everest College near Liangmai Taphou, Senapati District by a joint team of Senapati Police Special Operation Team led by SI Marcus, Senapati Women Police, D-78 CRPF and B-109 CRPF Coy QRT two persons were caught attempting to transport the illegal items.

Both accused were later identified as Kh Zaheer Khan (21) s/o Md Islamuddin of Golapati Mayai Leikai, Imphal East District, Manipur and Hepuni Doveinai (19) w/o Kh Zaheer Khan (21) of Golapati Mayai Leikai, Imphal East District.

The arrested individuals and the seized items were later handed over to Senapati PS for further necessary legal action.
