Imphal, April 28 2025: Assam Rifles organised 'A Day with Company Commander' at New Samtal village in Chandel district during which a range of activities aimed at promoting sportsmanship, education and camaraderie among the local population was also conducted.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that as part of the events, AR conducted volleyball and football matches, and screened a motivational video on 'Join Indian Army' to showcase life of a soldier, spirit of discipline and encourage the youth to serve the nation, followed by am interaction with the company commander wherein 155 students of New Samtal High School were provided counselling and motivation for a better future.

The students asked various queries related to education, career opportunities and eligibility criteria for joining Indian Army and Assam Rifles, said the PRO, adding that New Samtal High School principal and New Samtal Youth president Min-lal Haokip also attended the programme.
