Workshop on Big Data, Cybersecurity & AI concludes

Imphal, April 26 2025: A 1-week workshop on "Big Data, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence", jointly organised by Liberal College, Luwangsangbam, and NIELIT Imphal, concluded today.

Sponsored by C-ADC, NIELIT, and NASSCOM under the "Future Skill Prime" project, the workshop focused on reskilling and up-skilling government officers in emerging tech-nologies.

Speaking at the closing function as the chief guest, Dr Yumnam Jayenta Singh, Executive Director of NIELIT Imphal, emphasized the importance of educators specializing in emerging fields to enhance their research capabilities and project development skills.

He also assured full support from NIELIT for future academic collaborations.

Prof N Sanjoy Singh, Principal of Liberal College, highlighted the urgent need to strengthen emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence through capacity building among teaching faculty.

He stressed the importance of upgrading curricula, improving question setting, lesson plan and evaluation methods, and incorporating tools such as rubrics to ensure quality education.

The workshop witnessed the participation of 68 faculty members from various colleges across the State.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in expert-led sessions covering Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Financial Analysis, and Python applications.

The workshop aimed to equip educators with essential 21st century skills necessary for academic excellence and technological advancement in Manipur.
