World Water Day observed at Kakching

Kakching, March 23 2025: As observed across the globe, World Water Day was also observed today at Louyai Lambi Park, Kakching organised by the Alliance for Development Alternative Manipur (ADAM) Kakching, in collaboration with Management Committee Louyai Lambi Park, Kakching and Indian Red Cross Society, Kakching Branch.

It was attended by Dr T Brajakumar, Director, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change Manipur as chief guest, Dr M Rajkumar, Chairman, IRCS Kakching as president and S Joykumar, Chairperson, Administrative Committee, Pallel GP and N Sanjitkumar, Caretaker Chairperson Kakching Municipal Council as guests of honour.

As part of the programme, Dr T Brajakumar declared the launching of a yearlong campaign for Rejuvenation of Kakching Ethei main canal also known as Theigong starting from today and to culminate on March 22, 2026 .

The gatherings also planted several flowering plant saplings at the park as part of the programme."The organisers also extended gratitude to Pallel Police Station for donating 18 flower plant saplings for beautification of the park.
