UNICEF provides 60 oxygen concentrators to state

Imphal, May 07 2021:
In all, 60 oxygen concentrators provided by the UNICEF through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to the state as an aid to fght Covid-19 second wave reached Imphal on Friday.
The oxygen concentrators were airlifted from Delhi by an IAF AN32 aircraft.
In a post on his Facebook page, Chief Minister N Biren lauded the UNICEF for providing the Oxygen concentrators to the state during these challenging times of Covid-19 second wave.
Mention may be made here that the UNICEF provided 3000 oxygen concentrators, 500 high fow nasal cannulas, 85 RTPC (Covid testing) machines, medical kits and various other essential items needed for combating Covid-19 second wave in the country.
Moreover, 25 oxygen plants were procured and installed in Maharashtra and North East India.
UNICEF had also installed 70 thermal scanners at harbours.
In addition to these, UNICEF extended 11,000 PPEs to people who worked in Childline so as to continue child care service in the country.
