Govt asked to clarify inaction against Kuki MLAs

Reacting against alleged inaction by state and the central governments against the 10 Kuki MLAs who are plotting to distort territorial integrity of Manipur in-spite of representations submitted and complaints made, Imagi Meira has demanded the government make public reasons for its inability to take punitive actions.
Addressing media per sons at its Tera Loukrakpam Leikai office, here, on Wednesday, Imagi Meira convenor Thokchom Sujata Devi said that authorities concerned including the PM, chief minister, BJP state president, Assembly speaker and Committee on Privileges and Ethics chairman are hesitating to initiate action against the 10 Kuki MLAs in-spite of being aware that they have taken a firm stand to disintegrate Manipur and destroy the territorial integrity of the state.
Demanding the state government to give the reasons for its inability to take up necessary actions against the 10 MLAs within three days, she said that there will be no peace in the state as along as the government remains indifferent to the efforts being made by the people for safeguarding the territorial integrity of Manipur.
The armed Kuki militants are continuously attacking the Meitei villagers and the state security advisor is remaining silent.
It is not the time for the MLAs to hide and remain silent, she pointed out.
