Imphal, April 25 2025: A 100-bedded Scheduled Caste girls' hostel was inaugurated today by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla within the campus of Dhanamanjuri University.

According to a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat, the hostel was constructed under the supervision of Manipur OBC & SC Development Society (MOBEDS) to provide a conducive living and learning environment for female SC students, contributing to their academic growth and overall well-being.

Following the inauguration, the Governor chaired a meeting at the university's administrative block.

During the meeting, various agenda related to the academic and administrative functions of the university were discussed, with particular emphasis on enhancing student welfare and institutional efficiency.

The Governor directed the officials to perform their duties in the best interest of students and assured them that the Government would provide necessary assistance wherever possible.

Ajay Kumar Bhalla also visited various departments of the university and inspected the existing infrastructure.
