Imphal, July 28 2025:
The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and the United National Liberation Front of Asom-Inde-pendent (ULFA-I) have accused Indian army of using WARMATE combat unmanned aerial vehicle (CUAV) laden with controversial Thermo-baric weapons during the attack on the joint camps of the two insurgent organisations on July 13, 2025, claiming that five WARMATE wreckages have been recovered.
According to a joint statement of RPF and ULFA (I), Indian army used high-end drones during the attack.
From the debris of the drones, it has been identified that the attacker used Poland-made WARMATE loitering munition laden with controversial Thermobaric Bomb (Vacuum Bomb) .

The joint statement issued by RPF's deputy secretary of publicity Roben Khuman continued that the WARMATE CUAV is being manufactured by WB Electronics SA (WB Group), Poland, a private defence company.
Operational range of WARMATE is 30 km with price of a single WARMATE unit estimated at around 30,000 US Dollar.
Moreover, Thermobaric bombs, detonating the air, caused blazing of the camps.
"Up till now, the WARMATE operators include Georgia, India, Libya, Poland, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates, while Japan and South Korea are testing and ordering WARMATE'', Roben said.
As per the Vayu Aerospace Review (June 19, 2022), India received WARMATEs in 2022 with the Indian Army even testing WARMATE in Kashmir and Ladakh region and in mountainous areas near the border with China.
"There is no reason to think that WARMATE operators like Georgia, Libya, Poland, Ukraine or UEA would attack PLA and ULFA (I)," the joint statement asserted, adding that among the WARMATE operator countries only India is the warranted candidate to attack PLA and ULFA (I) using WARMATE and other suspected UAV like SkyStiker, suicide drone of Alpha Design, a joint venture company with Elbit Systems of Israel and other models, since PLA and ULFA (I) are the archenemy of India.
While citing report from local public, the joint statement alleged that UAVs were-launched from Wangti and a place between Nampong and Joyrampur.
The two organisations also claimed that five Type 3 WARMATE wreckages of year 2022, the same year India received the drones from WB Electronics SA (Poland), were recovered from their destroyed camps so far.
The statement shared serial numbers of the recoveries made as 22001930, 22002508, 22002549, 22007040 and 22007293 .
Interestingly, India used WARMATE of the same batch against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, the joint statement continued.
Even if India knew that the wreckages from drones will identify the make of drones and their operators, Indian Army and chief ministers denied their involvement in the July 13, 2025 attack against PLA and ULFA (I).
CMs of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, 'Manipur' and Nagaland being puppets of India will 'sing and dance' according to their master but why Indian Army denied the operation is quite questionable, the statement said.
"Wise people of WESEA region already knew that India does not want unity of the people of WESEA and to make sure WESEA people never unite, India is keeping the people of the region divided along ethnic and religious lines, salting the old wounds, creating and funding the pseudo revolutionaries, hiring foreign mercenaries, installing leaders who want wealth and status offering them power in exchange for loyalty to India".
The joint statement continued that India will find the most corrupt people and manipulate them to be puppet or henchman to serve India's interest and not to their people.
"If a leader who actually cares about their people rises, India will get rid of the leader or destabilise their government to have complete control.
Being cunning become the second nature of Indian politicians and bureaucrats while deceiving and dividing the people of the WESEA region is in fact a good policy as India does not care about the people.
India only cares about the resourceful land of the WESEA region and that is why India denied the drone attack against PLA and ULFA (I) on July 13, 2025," the joint statement alleged.
Aftermath of news agencies chronicling one of the most daring cross-border offensives in recent memory deep inside Myanmar, the Indian army had denied carrying out drone attacks on the eastern headquarters of the banned insurgent group ULFA-I, rejecting claims made by the outfit.
"There are no inputs with the Indian Army on such an operation," IANS quoted Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, PRO Defence Guwahati, as saying.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also asserted that the state police were not involved in any drone attack carried out at the camps of banned militant outfit ULFA-I .
Addressing the media, Sarma refuted speculation about the state police's role in a reported incident, asserting, "Assam Police is not involved in this incident.
There has been no strike from the soil of Assam" .
