Awareness prog on climate change held

As part of the month -long World Red Cross Day- 2024 observance, Manipur State branch of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) conducted an awareness programme on climate change for the volunteers of the society on Sunday.
According to a statement of IRCS Manipur branch, it has been conducting various programmes at different places of the state as part of the month-long World Red Cross Day-2024 observance.
Among the programmes was awareness on climate change for volunteers of the society so the could render help to those affected by the impact of climate change.
Volunteers of state and district level branches took part in the awareness programme held with Dr Brojen Singh Akoijam of RIMS community medicine department as the resource person.
Later in the afternoon, IRCS state unit also conducted a leaders' meet with CSO leaders, Meira Paibis and students as part of the month-long observance at the office of the branch at MG Avenue.
During the meet, CSO leaders, Meira Paibis and student leaders were informed about activities of IRCS state unit and appealed to all sections of people not to disturb movement of ambulance.
