Governor, others greet on Khongjom Day

Imphal, April 22 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Satyabrata Singh and Singjamei MLA Yumnam Khemchand Singh have greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Khongjom Day, 2025 .

In separate messages, they pointed out Khongjom Day is observed every year on April 23 to pay tribute to the indomitable courage and supreme sacrifices made by Manipuri forefathers for the freedom of the 'motherland' .

"As we pay tribute to their valour, let's remember that their strength lives within us, urging us to stay united, to uphold our roots and to walk forward with pride.

This day reminds us to rise above differences and work together towards the progress and well-being of our society.

May we continue to uphold the values of courage, harmony, and nation-building in our collective journey forward," mentioned the messages.
