Embrace nature with love, care, true ownership

Recognising the rapid degradation of nature, Christ King High School, Chingjaroi Khullen principal Rev.Fr.Aloysius has called for the urgency to embrace the environment with love, care, and a sense of true ownership.
"With nature fast depleting, we need to realise the urgency of owning our environment with love and care," Rev Aloysius stated while inaugurating the school's annual Environment Conservation Awareness Day at the school campus here on Monday.
He highlighted that the event was organised by the school in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Imphal, with an aim to instil a deep sense of environmental responsibility among the students and the local community.

The day's programme commenced with a poster presentation by students from Classes II and III, with creatively illustrated posters conveying the significance of the environment and the imperative need for its protection.
The poster campaign explored varied themes including the necessity of trees, clean water, the urgency of reducing plastic consumption, and preservation of biodiversity.
In the morning session, an educational exhibition was also conducted, showcasing a diverse collection of charts, diagrams, and models dealing with environmental themes, such as water conservation techniques, strategies for pollution control, the promise of renewable energy sources, 2nd the intricate life cycle of plants.
Students from different classes toured the exhibition in groups, engaging with their peers who presented the exhibits and fostering their curiosity through insightful questions.
The interactive session stimulated critical thinking on pressing ecological issues among the students.
The afternoon session witnessed rally procession focused on Climate Change awareness and tree plantation.
Students marched through the village, holding aloft placards and chanting powerful slogans like "Save Nature, Save Future", "Plant Trees, Breathe Clean", and "Protect Earth, It's Our Only Home" .
The procession captured the attention of local villagers, extending the message of environmental conservation beyond the school premises and into the community.
The day-long campaign also witnessed hands-on activities including a cleaning drive and a tree plantation initiative within and around the school campus.
Students engaged in collecting litter, sweeping designated areas, and planting numerous saplings, reinforcing the values of genuine responsibility and stewardship towards the natural world.
