1st Ching Tam Sajibu Khudol Tamba celebrated

Thoubal, April 26 2025: The first Ching Tam Sajibu Cheiraoba Khudol Tamba was celebrated at Ikop Ningthou Lai Haraobung at Heirok Part-II Bazar with the participation of people from eight villages of Tengnoupal district.

Villagers from Karongthel, Wabaching, Thamlai, Heinoumakhong, Konaitong, Thabikeithel, Paringtong and Machi joined the celebration and came bearing gifts.

Organised by the Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi, the event witnessed leaders from the villages joining in the merry-making and the villagers presenting their respective traditional dances and songs.

Notable dignitaries present at the celebration include Heirok Zilla Parishad Administrative Committee Member M Rajmani, Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi advisor Th Gunamni Leima, Heirok Part-I GP chairperson L Khamba, Part-II GP chairperson Th Premjit, Part-III GP chairperson A Jugindro, social worker Th Sanathoi, Thoubal Amasung Kakching District Apunba Lup (TAKDAL) chairman Y Bheighachandra among others.

Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi also presented simple gifts to honour their brethren from the hills.

Other attendees present at the event include representatives of CSOs and women's groups including Th Sandhyarani, convenor, Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi.
