Imphal, August 13 2023:
(contd from yesterday) .
When Manipur became part of India, the divide and rule policy of the British became more dangerous with India adopting it as divide and destroy policy.
This divide and destroy policy of India not only divide smaller indigenous communities of Manipur and WESEA region but also create enmity and clash among the communities and this policy is now being successfully implemented in the region.
Manipur had witnessed several ethnic clashes in the past few decades like the Naga-Kuki clash of 1992-97 which left 1000 people killed, the Meetei and Meetei-Pangal clash of 1993 which killed around 130 people, Kuki-Paite clash of 1997-98 which killed around 352 people, Kuki-Karbi clash in Assam in 2003 which killed 23 people and Kuki-Dimasa clash in 2004 which killed 34 people.
All these ethnic clashes were instigated by the government in Delhi and they remained mute spectator to the clashes, the MAC said, adding that Manipur and WESEA region is a geo-strategic battleground in India's view on one side and accumulation of mineral resources of the region on another side.
India never considers people of the region as their own and what India wants is only the land of the region, the MAC statement added.
The MAC statement further said the proxy war with Zalengam dream waged by Kuki Narco-terrorist aggressors, who were raised by India's paramilitary forces to contain insurgency, since May 3 with 15th century style of war in the 21st century is continuing and crossed three months.
Who will remain silent when Kuki Narco-terrorist aggressors continuously attack innocent and unarmed civilians including children and torched their houses.
It is not human nature to wage war against unarmed innocent civlians using bombs and sophisticated weapons and it is natural for civilians to response in the way the attackers did to defend themselves, the MAC said.
According to the MAC, the simultaneous attacks carried out by Kuki Narco-terrorist aggressors on Meetei people in peripheral valley areas were not only long and well planned but also executed meticulously.
This has been proven with the recovery of the personal diary of a Kuki militant leader after Kuki militants were pushed out from Sugnu Zou-Veng and Kosophai.
Details of the personal diary which contain road-map for formation of Kuki nation/Zalengam have already been published by media, the MAC said.
