Imphal, April 21 2025:
It is extremely unfortunate that Kuki terrorists based outside have disrupted the harmony in the state and forcefully trying to absorb smaller tribes having clan system into the fold of Kuki tribe, claimed Federation of Haomee (FoH) president Sapamcha Jadumani.
He made the statement on the sidelines of a tree plantation drive carried out at the Indigenous Sub-pillar complex in Sawombung Kabui Khunjao, which is the site for installation of an indigenous pillar, on Monday.
Representatives from 25 indigenous communities, CSOs and Lamlai MLA Kh Ibomcha, Moirang MLA T Shanti and Langthabal MLA Karam Shyam also participated in the event.
Jadumani expressed confidence that the indigenous pillar would help in fostering unity and harmony amongst the indigenous communities of the state, who have their own clan system, culture and traditions.
He then informed that plans are underway to erect similar indigenous pillars in other districts.
He said that the present conflict is an attack on the indigenous communities of the state and as such, all communities have the responsibility to come together and protect their motherland.
Lamlai MLA Kh Ibomcha said that the indigenous pillar is of profound matter and emphasised the need for all to learn and understand about the 25 clanbased indigenous communities of the state.
This will bring all of us closer and promote unity and harmony, he stated.
