PREPAK-Pro, KYKL condole demise of cadres

The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-Progessive (PREPAK-Pro) and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) deeply condoled the loss of one each cadre of the revolutionary groups.
In a joint condolence message, PREPAK-Pro and KYKL informed that Lance Corporal Maibam Naotonba alias Naatngakpa Meetei, 18, son of late M Hemanta Meetei and Hemabati of Serou Makha Leikai of PREPAK(Pro) and Lt Angom Sanatomba alias Ingo, 37, son of late A Chandramani Meetei of Phayeng Mayai Leikai of KYKL were slain in a gun-battle between combined team of revolutionary fighters of Kangleipak (Manipur) and Indian forces and its proxy KNA-B at a place along Kanglei (Manipur)-Myanmar border on March 25 .
Sharing pain and grief of the bereaved families, friends and well-wishers of the martyred revolutionaries, the joint condolence message said that L Cpl Naotonba was fourth among five children of Hemanta and Hemabati.
Naotonba joined PREPAK-Pro in December, 2023 and completed Basic Military Training (BMT).
During the short time, L Cpl Naotonba shouldered immense responsibility and contributed a lot for PREPAK-Pro and revolutionary movement of Kangleipak (Manipur), the condolence message said and described the fallen revolutionary as a disciplined, hard-working, dedicated, courageous and persistent fighter.
The joint condolence message further said that Lt Santatomba was third of the four children of Angom Chandramani and Keinahanbi.
He was born on February 4, 1988 and joined KYKL in early part of 2007 and completed BMT in 24th batch of party.
Lt Sanatomba was a disciplined, calm, courageous and proficient in gun-battle and he shouldered immense responsibility for the revolutionary movement of Kangleipak (Manipur) and WESEA region for more than 18 years.
Lt Sanatomba also took part in the 'Paraolon Ambush' of June 4, 2015 jointly carried out by KCP, KYKL and NSCN-K at a place between Moltuk and Paraolon in Chandel district wherein 18 Indian army, (6th Dogra Regiment) were killed and 15 were injured.
The joint condolence message released by central committees of both PREPAK-Pro and KYKL also said that the demise of Lance Corporal Naotonba and Lt Sanatomba was not only a loss for the two organisations but also for the entire revolutionary parties of Kangleipak (Manipur) and the void left by the two revolutionaries would be hard to fill.
However, the bravery and love for the motherland they showed during the recent battle instilled more courage and patriotism to revolutionaries currently fighting the enemy, it added.
