Three-day MANFETE-2025 begins

Imphal, April 24 2025:
The three-day MANFETE, 2025 organised by Manipur Institute of Management Studies, Manipur University got underway at MU auditorium, Canchipur from Thursday.
The inaugural programme was attended by MU vice chancellor Prof N Lokendra, School of Social Sciences dean Prof Memcha Loitongbam, Dean of Students' Welfare Prof Ch Ibohal, MUSU president Nongthombam Suraj, MANFETE, 2025 chairman Dr S Somokanta and Manipur Institute of Management Studies director Prof L Prabhakar as presidium members.
Speaking at the programme, vice chancellor Lokendra highlighted the importance of complementing classroom knowledge with practical, on-the-ground experience.
The university planned increase in academic programmes for every department but had to put on hold the initiative due to Covid-19 pandemic and presently owing to the unrest situation, he clarified.
Expressing confidence that the programme will not only benefit students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the university, but also contribute to creating a vibrant campus environment, the vice chancellor noted that in-spite of Manipur's economy currently facing serious challenges, there is signs of growth in the private sector.
Terming as encouraging that several private businesses have come forward to sponsor the programme, Prof Lokendra maintained that such collaboration will help foster a healthy relationship between students and the business community, ultimately adding economic development of Manipur.
During the three-day programme, several events including debate, quiz, dance, music unplugged, traditional dance, business idea, Manhunt, MANFETE Queen, cosplay, mobile legends and Battle Ground Mobile India among others will be organised.
