IEC campaigns on central schemes continue in hill districts

Kamjong district administration conducted a series of Information, Edu cation, and Communication (IEC) campaigns in various locations across the district to promote the PM DAJGUA on June 18 and 19.On Thursday, the IEC campaign was conducted at three camp locations in Phungyar, Khambi, and Sor-bung villages where speakers encouraged local residents to actively engage with the programme and take full advantage of the available benefits.
A total of 200 individuals attended the programme, where they availed various services including 5 PM Garib Kalyan Yojana benefits, 10 Ayushman Bharat Cards, 40 IGNOAPS benefits, 12 PM Vishwakarma benefits, 15 tribe certificates, 4 PM Matru Vandana Yojana benefits, 5 ration cards, 10 domicile certificates, 15 Mission In dradhanush benefits, and 14 MGNREGA job cards.
Earlier on June 18, a similar campaign was held at K Leihaoram village during which residents of Kasom Khullen block Were urged to avail benefits of the schemes offered under PM DAJGUA, which are specifically designed to uplift and improve the well-being of the tribal community.
Apart from setting up stalls of various departments, 20 ration card application forms were distributed to eligible beneficiaries, two new LPG connections facilitated under the Ujjwala scheme, and 29 MOAP forms, two widow pension forms, and one disability pension form were handed over.
Bank personnel distributed over 100 application forms for opening bank accounts.
Despite connectivity and internet issues at the IEC campaign site, the creation of 4 Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) cards was initiated.
Around 21 ST and domicile certificates were issued to eligible beneficiaries, nine Routine Immunizations (RI) administered to infants and 4J patients provided health check-ups.
SENAPATI: The district administration continued its full-scale IEC Campaign for the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan and PM JANMAN saturation drive on the fourth day at Maram Centre Village community hall, under Lairouching Sub-Division.
The DAJGUA campaign was marked by district level officers (DLOs) highlighting and raising awareness about various schemes through IEC interventions under their respective departments.
Around 800 people from the block and surrounding villages attended the event for Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan and PM JANMAN, India's largest tribal empowerment campaign.
The campaign included 20 stalls of various departments and distribution of welfare schemes to eligible beneficiaries, including two Widow Pension Cards, 12 Disability Cards (CMST), three Manipur Qld Age Pension Cqrds,HYV seeds, and micronutrients.
Various services and schemes were provided to the public, such as Aadhaar Card enrolment and updates, Ration Card applications, new LPG connections, enrolment for Ayushman Bharat Cards (PMJAY), issuance of Tribe and Domicile certificates, registration for Farmer Cards and PM-KISAN, social security schemes (including Old Age Pension and Widow Pension), livelihood schemes such as MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, and Mudra Loans, women and child welfare initiatives like PMMVY, ICDS benefits, and immunisation, as well as non-communicable disease (NCD) screenings and general health check-ups.
PHERZAWL: As the ongoing Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) campaign entered its fifth day in Pherzawl, the district administration extended its outreach activities to Parbung village (Tipaimukh Sub-Division), Kangreng village (Vangai Range Sub-Division), and Leijangphai village (Thanlon Sub-Division).
Benefit Saturation Camps provided a one-stop platform for residents of these villages to access various government entitlements, welfare services, and to raise awareness among eligible beneficiaries.
Key departments participated in delivering on-the-spot support and assistance, providing services such as the issuance of tribe and domicile certificates, health check-ups, medical birth certificates, enrolment in social security schemes (PMJJBY, PMSBY & APY), registration under PM-Vishwakarma Yojana, Aadhaar card enrolment and updates, assistance in opening bank accounts, registration of Farmer's Cards, and PM-KISAN, among others.
' Alongside these camps, a parallel IEC drive was conducted to raise public awareness about government schemes and available services.
TENGNOUPAL: As part of the nationwide flagship campaign "Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJGUA)", a one-day Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp was organised on Friday at Leibi village, under Moreh sub-division in Tengnoupal district.
The campaign under the initiative of Ministry of Tribal Affairs aims to saturate individual entitlements and create awareness among Scheduled Tribe (ST) populations across the country's tribal-dominated regions.
The Leibi village camp participated by over 250 locals and 30 representatives of various departments, commenced with speakers highlighting the campaign's objectives, scope, and importance in addressing gaps in last-mile service delivery for tribal communities, followed by talks on animal rearing practices and the National Livestock Mission; organic and sustainable farming, promoting low-in-put, eco-friendly cultivation techniques suitable for hilly terrain; overview of the Forest Rights Act; and formation and strengthening of Self Help Groups (SHGs), financial inclusion, and various schemes to promote entrepreneurship and micro-enterprises among tribal women.
The camp facilitated on-the-spot delivery of multiple entitlements and services, including Ration Cards and entitlement verification, Health Insurance (PM-JAY) card issuance and basic check-ups, Caste, Domicile, and Income Certificates, Farmer registration under PM-KISAN, along with Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), Bank account opening, enrolment under social security pensions (Old Age, Widow, and Divyang), and financial literacy assistance.
Well-equipped service counters operated in coordination with local volunteers and staff to ensure a seamless experience for beneficiaries.
