RRM cuts short programme

Royal Riders Manipur (RRM) had to cut short its days-long programme in Imphal East's Jiribam subdivision on Monday due to a proposed highway blockade.
Informing this to media at Dibong Echel Club here, RRM general secretary Jogen Phanjoubam said the 58-member team which included doctors and journalists arrived here on May 9, according to a Jiri News Network report.
He said free medical camps were conducted at Bahukhal, Sabughat and Boroikhal villages that border Tamenglong district on May 10.Free medical treatment and medicines were provided to some 160 villagers during the camps, he said.
The RRM team also planted saplings in different places of the subdivision, he added.
"But we had to cut short the programme due to the proposed highway blockade," Jogen said.
