The Commission has been revived after it remained dysfunctional for about three years.
A member of the Commission said today that the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission had remained dysfunctional since 2011 until it was revived on Feb 1 this year.
At present, the two-member Commission is headed by retired High Court Judge, Justice Ashok Potsangbam as its president.
The Commission is short of one woman member.
The Commission has its head office at Old Assembly Complex.
Its main function includes providing inexpensive, speedy and summary redressal of consumer disputes.
Although the Commission is equipped with requisite infrastructure, its smooth functioning is hampered by lack of manpower, the member said.

The commission is working four days a week.
It is looking after cases relating to 'goods' as well as 'services'.
