RRM cuts short adventure prog

Owing to the indefinite highway bandh imposed by the KSO, Sadar hills from May 11, the Royal Riders Manipur have cut short their adventure programme to Jiribam, our correspondent reports.
RRM embarked on an adventure drive to Jiribam on May 9 accompanied by a team of doctors and media persons with an aim to hold medical camps, tree plantation drives and such other programmes at Jiribam, RRM general secretary Jogen Phanjaobam stated at a press meet held at Dibong Echel Club today.
The team conducted free medical camps and tree plantation drives at Babukhal, Sabughat and Boraikhal during its two days stay at Jiribam.
The team had intended to visit Ningshing Khun and border areas of Tamenglong and Churandpur as part of its adventure programme.
They, however, had to cut short their adventure drive owing to the indefinite highway bandh imposed by KSO, Sadar hill, Jogen added.
RRM president Merin Thangjam, Apachee Urungpurel finance secretary, Momoraj, vice-president Momo Laishram and executive member Ibomcha were also present at the press meet held at Jiribam today.
