RailTel conducts training prog

A training programme on implementation of e-Office for 'Master Trainer' and 'PIMS admin' was held by RailTel Company in collaboration with National Informatics-Centre (NIC) on Tuesday at Banting Hall of RIMS, Imphal.
In a release, RIMS informed that the programme was presided over by RIMS director G Sunil Kumar Sharma, deputy director (admn) RK Mecolt Singh, medical superintendent N Sanjib Singh, dean (academic) Brogen Singh Akoijam and CAO/FA S Sarat Singh.
According to the release, a team of officials from the NIC also visited and monitored the training programme while director G Sunil highlighted the journey initiated to avail e-Office facility at RIMS.
The director stated that as there was disappointment due to RIMS lagging behind even after the state government departments had started e-Office system, he initiated the process by contacting NIC on June 8, 2023 and paid a sum of Rs 50 lakh to set up the e-Office system facility at RIMS.
Conveying gratitude to RIMS IT cell team for their contribution in setting up the system, director Sunil also expressed that the e-Office facility system will enhance transparency, increase accountability, assure data security and data integrity and transform the government Work culture ahd ethics.
The training programme was attended by principals of Dental College and College of Nursing RIMS, HODs, chief nursing officers and staff of different departments and cells, it added.
