IYC team distributes essential items to relief camps

The visiting Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV visited Churachandpur on Thursday and distributed essential items to relief camps in the town.
Srinivas was accompanied by IYC general secretary Purchandra, secretary Sarifa and social media chairman Manu Jain.
As Srinivas BV arrived at the Wall of Re membrance near Tuiboung peace ground, Churachandpur at about 2pm, the denizens welcomed him with slogans 'We want separate administration', 'Biren Govt Down Down', 'No Separation No Rest' .
He also inspected the dummy coffins of fallen tribal heroes kept at the site.
He then proceeded to ECA relief camp and distributed daily essential items.
Srinivas BV also visited the Greenwood relief camp, Rengkai Govt H/S relief camp before meeting families of late David Thiek, who was killed in a gunfight at near Khoiju-mantabi village.
Meanwhile, womenfolk and tribal leaders continue to stage protest demonstration at Tuiboung peace ground, New Lamka and medical college in Churachandpur town.
The protest since the past two months is in pursuance of justice through grant of separate administration.
