Many continue to extend humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the ongoing conflict in the State.
As a part of Student Seva Yatra, karyakartas of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur today distributed study materials and sport items in 75 shelter camps including those set up at Ideal Girls College, Akampat, Youth Hostel No 2, Khuman Lampak and Veterinary Guest House Porompat.
The team of ABVP included its Imphal Vibhag organization secretary Akshay Rajukar, State joint secretary Rk Yaikhomba Singh, programme incharge L Suresh, Savishkar in-charge coordinator Tonsana Thokchom and Imphal Unit joint university in-charge Pravesh Soram, said ABVP Manipur in a release.
ABVP informed that during the visit, students staying at the shelter camps expressed their thought and fear about the ongoing violence in Manipur.

Moreover, Students' Union of Wangoi Higher Secondary School yesterday provided relief materials to the shelter camps set up at Shamurou High School and Thambaleima High School, Iramshiphai.
Speaking to the media, Cherinda Keithellakpam, secretary Girl's Common Room of the Student's Union, shared that the relief materials were provided to help the students who have been displaced and are taking shelter at the shelter camps.
Pointing out that education has been interrupted for the students due to the ongoing conflict for more than two months, she urged the Government to restore normalcy in Manipur at the earliest and make arrangements for students to attend their class peacefully without any fear or threat.
Fraternity Welfare Association, Imphal also provided monetary aid to the shelter camp set up in Konthoujam Makha Khabam High School.
On the occasion, Nandeibam Ibobi, president of Fraternity Welfare Association, expressed concern over the ongoing conflict which has led to irreparable loss of many innocent lives and left thousands displaced.
He continued that the monetary aid was provided to help the people who are taking refuge at the shelter camp.
Women folk of Sagolband Sadokpam Leikai and Singjamei Wangma Pebiya Pandit Leikai Ward No 2 yesterday visited the shelter camps set up in Singda Kadandband Part-I and Kangchup.
During the visit, the women folk interacted with the inmates of the shelter camps and provided relief materials to help them during these difficult times.
Besides, Raj Medicity, a leading hospital in Manipur, has received a donation of Rs 20,000 from Nambam Rajendra Singh, Wangkhei Tokpam Leikai, Imphal, and Rs 10,000 from Rakeshor Ningthoujam, MD, Xingu Technologies Pvt Ltd, Imphal.
While receiving the donation, Haobijam Rajen Singh, chairman & managing director, Raj Medicity, acknowledged the efforts made by the donors and thanked them for their generosity, said a release issued by Raj Medicity.
He shared that the donation will play a vital role in the efforts of Raj Medicity to provide free & effective treatment to all those who have been affected by the ongoing violence.
