Imphal, January 27 2025: The district level celebration of India's 76th Republic Day was held at the district headquarters with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on Sunday.

In Bishnupur district, the celebration held at the District Sports Association (DSA) ground under the aegis of the district administration, saw a vibrant display of national pride and unity.

The celebration began with inspection of the guard of honour and parade by DC Lourembam Bikram, who also unfurled the national flag and took salute from 27 march-past contingents commanded by deputy SP (LPF) Md Riyajuddin Shah.

Apart from the march-past, the celebration that featured cultural performances by seven groups, including the CRPF and RAF troopers, was attended by Bishnupur SP Ksh Ravikumar, 2nd IRB Naranseina commandant Hopson Sapam, Dett/08 CRPF commandant Chandra Sekhar, ADM, DFO, CEO ZP, DLOs and officials of the district.

THOUBAL: The Republic Day function was held under the aegis of district administration at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School ground on Sundav with DC Ahanthem Subash unfurling the national flag and taking the salute from march past contingents which included cultural troupes led by parade commander MPS officer Tayenjam Clinton.

On the occasion, certificates of appreciation and commendation were distributed to employees of different government departments for their exemplary performance.

The function was also attended by Thoubal senior SP Rakesh Bahval.

KAKCHING: The district administration celebrated the 76th Republic Day at Dis trict Sports Association playground, Kakching Turel Wangma.

DC Rohit Anand, who was the chief guest of the celebration took the salute from the march past contingent led by Sugnu SDPO Ngangbam Anthony Suresh.

On the occasion, certificates of appreciation were distributed to employees of different government departments for their outstanding services.

CHANDEL: The district administration organised the 76th Republic Day at the Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School playground.

DC Mayanglambam Rajkumar attended the celebration as chief guest and unfurled the National Flag.

He took salute from march-past contingents commanded by 8th Manipur Rifles assistant commandant Ng Parshung Moyon.

In all 17 contingents including Manipur Police, Manipur Rifles, IRB, VDF, students from different schools, NCC, and 21 Assam Rifles Band Party took part in the march-past.

As part of the celebration, the "Meeyamgee Numit" was also held at the same venue where grievances of the district's denizens were heard and extended benefits under 43 government departments.

PHERZAWL: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the DC Office complex with DC Asish Das unfurling the national flag.

He also took salute from the parade contingents, commanded by Thanlon SDPO Golamthang Hatzaw.

The celebration also featured the distribution of appreciation certificates to 30 government employees for their outstanding services.

District level officials, village authority leaders, residents of Pherzawl and neighbouring villages attended the event.

SENAPATI: Joining the nationwide celebration, the district administration celebrated the 76th Republic Day at Sanyi Dahrii Sports Complex, Khabung Karong.

The DC inspected the Guard of Honour and later unfurled the national flag along with taking the salute from 20 parade contingents consisting of security personnel, NCC, NSS and college students led by parade commander SDPO (Mao) M James Thangal.

As part of the programme, the DC and OC of Mao police station Worchipem Ngalung were awarded the Chief Minister Commendation Certificate for effective implementation of Inner Line Permit in the district on its completion of 5 years in the state.

A Special Issue, 'Manipur Today' magazine published by Directorate of Information & Public Relations was also distributed.

Altogether, 104 persons including government officials, police personnel and public were awarded with Commendation Certificates for their outstanding services and cooperation to the Senapati district administration.

The 76th Republic Day celebration was also celebrated in all the 6 Sub-Divisional offices with the unfurling of the national flag by the respective SDOs.

JIRIBAM: The district administration celebrated India's 76th Republic Day in a grand manner at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Playground.

Jiribam DC Krishna Kumar inspected the Guard of Honour and unfurled the Tricolour as a combined band party of Manipur Fire Service and Civil Police played the National Anthem.

The DC took the salute from the 10 march-past contingents commanded by 7th IRB deputy commandant Yumnam Joyraj Singh.

As part of the celebration, stalls of different departments were also set up, showcasing their activities including a stall of IDPs where locally made handicraft and household items were also sold.

Different sericulture and agriculture items including power sprayers and rearing equipment were also distributed to beneficiaries during the function with commendation and appreciation certificates awarded to officials of various departments and students for their outstanding contributions.

CHURACHANDPUR: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervour at Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka where DC Dharun Kumar unfurled the National Flag and received the Rashtriya Salute as the chief guest from 23 march-past contingents, including BSF, civil police, NCC cadets and school students.

The ceremony also witnessed the distribution of commendation certificates to 53 government officials and staff, 56 Police/ Security forces, and NGOs/Organisations for their contributions to public service and the district administration.

TENGNOUPAL: Tengnoupal district administration celebrated the 76th Republic Day at district headquarters with DC Krishna Kumar as the chief guest.

As part of the celebration, appreciation certificates were distributed to 26 government employees, institutions and individuals in recognition of their outstanding and valuable services.

Tengnoupal SP Rahul Gupta, DLOs and officials also attended the function. NONEY: As the nation came together to celebrate the pride and spirit of Republic Day, Noney district administration on Sunday celebrated the Republic Day amid tight security at the Longmai-III Public Ground.

DC Sharath Chandra Arroju unfurled the tricolour and inspected the march-past parade by 20 contingents.

Noney DSP Jilangamba Thangal was the parade commander of the celebration.

Cultural dance and patriotic songs were performed by various artistes and troupes as a part of the celebration.

The programme was also attended by Noney SP Namsadai Peter Kamei.

KANGPOKPI: Kangpokpi district joined the nation in celebrating the 76th Republic Day-2025 at the Brigadier M Thomas ground, Kangpokpi on Sunday.

Kangpokpi DC Mahesh Chaudhari hoisted the national flag and took Rashtriya salute accompanied by National Anthem sung by SFS School.

Later, the DC took the salute from 23 marching contingents including the BSF, CRPF, VDF, NCC and government and private schools.

On the occasion, the Kangpokpi DC and the SP were awarded the Chief Minister's Certificate of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding contribution in Implementation of ILP.

As part of the 'Beti Bachao Beti Pradhao", the DC organised a special event to recognise and honour the academic achievements of meritorious girls of class 10 and 12 standard.

In addition, the DC also handed out certificate of appreciation to government employees and others.

UKHRUL: Kamjong district administration celebrated the 76th Republic Day at Kamjong Higher Secondary School ground with much patriotic fervour with DC Rangnamei Rang Peter attending the celebration as chief guest.

The ceremony began with the chief guest unfurling the tri-colour flag while the national anthem Was sung, in the presence of Kamjong SP Ningsem Vashum and various heads of department and staffs.

Addressing the gathering, DC Rang Peter pointed out the significance of the day by highlighting the sacrifices made by the nation's freedom fighters to attain freedom, liberty and equality that made India become the biggest democracy in the world.

Stressing on attainment of education, he urged the public to make use of the free education policy to enrich oneself, while observing that just attaining education is not enough but holistic education is what the nation needs.

The chief guest further spoke on women empowerment and the necessity of educating women for the welfare of the society.

Regarding the digital India policy, he asserted that through this policy, India has achieved a remarkable progress on the deliverance of various welfare schemes.

As part of the Republic Day celebration, 18 contingents took part in various activities including cultural show presentation by ICDS, and youth clubs of Bungpa Khullen and Chassad.The event also witnessed distribution of commendation certificates to outstanding staff and employees of the district.

Meanwhile, Ukhrul district administration celebrated the 76th Republic Day at Bakshi Ground in the district headquarters.

Attending the celebration as chief guest, DC Kengoo Zuringla unfurled the National Flag accompanied by singing of the National Anthem and also took the general salute during the parade and march past which featured 34 parade contingents from various departments and educational institutions of the district.

The event also witnessed a cultural dance performance frorn Ringui Cultural Dance Troupe, along with a special song from KTL Excel Hr Sec School and a choreography item from Ukhrul Hr Sec School.

The chief guest handed over Certificates of Appreciation/Commendation to 63 DLOs and staff of different departments and individuals in different fields, for their outstanding performances, including Appreciation Certificate of Journalism to Dawn Tantak editor Addie Chiphang for his remarkable service and Bravery Awards to 12 personnel from the 6th Battalion of Manipur Rifles.
