CRPF enhances water facilities under CAP in Jiribam

Jiribam, January 24 2026:
Continuing its commitment to community welfare, the 48 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has successfully implemented key water infrastructure projects under its Civic Action Programme in Jiribam district, aimed at ensuring safe and reliable water supply for local residents and public institutions.
A newly installed borewell constructed by Dett-48 Bn CRPF at Aglapur Primary School, Jiribam, was formally inaugurated by Mukesh Kumar Sewaria, 2-I/C, Dett-48 Bn CRPF, in the presence of other CRPF officers.
The occasion was attended by Y Romen Singh, headmaster of Aglapur Primary School, teachers, ward member Md Satabuddin, local villagers and students.
The borewell is expected to provide safe drinking water to schoolchildren and residents of Aglapur village, significantly improving daily living conditions.
In a similar initiative, a newly constructed water storage tank built by Dett-48 Bn CRPF at Community Hall of Champanagar village, Jiribam, was inaugurated by SS Sejwal, 2-I/C, Dett-48 Bn CRPF, in the presence of other officers of the battalion, RK Nabin, chairman of Champanagar Panchayat, KP Singh, secretary of the Panchayat, Memila Devi, ward member, Inder Kumar Singh, ward member and local villagers.
The water tank is expected to enhance water availability for villagers and users of the community hall.
The local community of both villages warmly appreciated the efforts of the CRPF and expressed gratitude for these vital infrastructure initiatives.
