Imphal, August 17 2025:
National People's Party (NPP) national working president James PK Sangma on Sunday said that young people should not shy away from politics but take active responsibility in shaping the future of society.
Speaking at a youth conclave organised by National People's Youth Front (NPYF) Manipur at Manipur State Film Development Society auditorium, Palace Compound, Sangma reminded that politics is not about criticism but about creating opportunities for change.
There is a perception that politics is not for the youth, but politics requires their energy and vision.
It requires good leaders to bring better governance, he said.
Sangma added that Manipur holds a unique place among Indian states because of its rich culture and heritage, which have earned recognition at both national and international levels.
