"Let us all take action to fight for justice and dignity for everyone, ensuring proper documentation and support for victims, " exhorted the medical superintendent.
The symposium served as an important platform to shed light on various aspects of gender-based violence, bringing together distinguished speakers and medical professionals to discuss the critical issue.
It featured two key presentations, 'Gender-Based Violence; An Overview', which explored the forms, causes, and legal implications of such violence, and 'Gender-Based Violence: A Gynaecological Perspective', which highlighted the challenges faced by gynaecologists in treating survivors and the need for empathetic, trauma-informed care.
The release continued that the event fostered vital discussions on combating gender-based violence, with strong participation from faculty, students, and medical professionals.
