Toppers spell out aspirations

Imphal, April 25 2025:
Topping the Science stream in the Higher Secondary Examination 2025, Riya Khwairak- pam of Comet School, Changangei aspires to become a doctor.
Scoring 490 marks (98%), she also achieved letter marks in five subjects.
She was born to Khwairakpam Surchand and Kh (Ongbi) Shougrakpam Lukamani originally from Kumbi Ithai Bazar and currently residing at Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai.
Her father currently works as an Asst Professor in the Statistics Department of Manipur University while her mother is a lecturer at Pole Star College.
She has an older brother.

Speaking to media persons at her residence, Riya Khwairakpam credited her achievement to her mother.
Arts stream topper Kei-sham Hannah Devi of Enlighten Knowledge Hi-gher Secondary School wants to become an IAS officer.
With a total of 479 marks (95.8%), the young achiever scored letter marks in six subjects.
She is the eldest of three children born to Keisham Okendrojit Singh and Keisham Binadarshini Devi from Yairipok Bishnunaha Awang Leikai in Thoubal district.
While her father is the manager of Women Income Generation Centre (NGO), Thoubal, her mother is a teacher at Yairipok High School (Aided) .
With a total of 463 marks (92.6%), Commerce topper from TG Higher Secondary School Warepam Lidia Devi aims to become a successful businesswoman.
She secured letter marks in five subjects.
Lidia was born to Warepam Opendro Singh and Warepam Medhapati Devi from Uripok Khu-manthem Leikai and studied at Heritage Convent from Class IV to X .
Stating that her Class X results did not meet her expectations, Lidia maintained she wants to become a businesswoman, she said.
She is currently preparing for the CA Foundation exam which is slated for May 15.She credited her success to her parents and teachers.
Her father is engaged in the business of machine-made incense sticks which he sells in the market to provide for his two children's education and other needs of the family.
Lidia has an older brother.
All three toppers of the Higher Secondary Examination commented on the harmful impacts of the prolonged conflict on the education of young students and expressed hope for a swift resolution.
