Church authority of the village that runs the school appointed seven teachers and one Jackson is the principal of the school.
Structures of the school and whatever the infrastructures in the school were developed by the collective efforts of the villagers who donated materials in kinds.
For running and meeting the salaries of the teachers and employees, school authority collects Rs 100 per month per student with admission fee of Rs 1000.The school thus running has two teachers posted by the Autonomous District Council who were transferred in the school around three year back.
The strange thing of the authority was that one of the two teachers posted there one was as headmaster and the other one as assistant teacher.
Before headmaster Hamiddur and assistant teacher Jagdish were transferred at the school, there was an instance of posting another teacher of the ADC.
However, he was not allowed to joint the school by the villagers.
Pasture of Lungthar Baptist Church, R Philip told Hueiyen Lanpao revealed that the two teachers sent by the authority were allowed to join in the school under certain agreed condition.
Under the agreement, salaries of two teachers of the school are being born by two ADC teachers posting there.
Out of the two ADC teachers, the headmaster visited the school occasionally in the form of inspection and when the came he also brought chalks, dusters and other material required in running the school.
To add another strange thing in the school was that of appointment of cook under Central sponsored mid-day-meal programme to the private school.
One village woman named Tharmila Sirio is working as cook in the school.
The school is known to the villagers in two names, one as Wanton Christian English School and the other as UJB School but it is not known in what name the school is recognized by the government authority.
Materials of the Mid-day Meal of the school were also accompanied by the headmaster when turned up to the school.
The headmaster also said about possibility of the infrastructure of the school with the funds from the ADC.
The buildings of the school are in bad condition due to long non-repairing.
Roofs of some rooms are also leaking.
Headmaster H Mingthing of the school said that that they are facing in maintaining the documents and other material in the school due to leaking at the roof.
He expressed hope that if the ADC look after and provided funds for development, the difficulties of running the school and problems in the study of the students can be improved.
After passing Standard-VI, the students go to Imphal or nearby schools for further study and those parents who could not sent the children to Imphal or nearest school, Irong Higher Secondary School have to abandoned from further study, he added.
According to the headmaster H Minthing, Lungthar village is under the Kangpokpi ADC and a school of the ADC "Shada Tangkhul UJB School" is running is in the village.
But any school under the name is at the village.
On what ground the teachers were posted is not known to them.
Around 10 days back three more teachers of the ADC who were appointed recently by the ADC authority have against posted in the school.
Three teachers are currently engaging in the census exercise.
So not attending the school for the time being, he added.
