KCP, KYKL mourn demise of cadres

Imphal, April 28 2025:
The proscribed Kanglei Yawol Karma Lup (KYKL) and the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) expressed deep condolences over the un timely death of two of their cadres during an encounter at Manipur-Myanmar border on April 25 night.
In a joint condolence message issued by central committees of KCP and KYKL, 2nd Lt Oinam Telheiba alias Landaba (36) of Meeyamgi Yawol Laanmee (MYL), the armed wing KYKL, and L Cpl Ahanthem Bishan alias Kanglei (29) of Meeyamgi Fingang Lanmee (MFL), the armed wing of KCP, lost their lives in a gun-fight with a joint force, allegedly consisting of Indian security personnel and their proxy forces on April 25 at about 10 pm along the Manipur-Myanmar border.
According to the joint condolence message, 2nd Lt Landaba, son of Oinam Ranjit and Yandhabi of Uchiwa Turel Wangma, was the eldest among his siblings.
Landaba joined KYKL in the year 2007 and completed basic military training (BMT) in the 2nd batch and was inducted into MYL.
Remembering Landaba as a brave, disciplined and committed revolutionary, the joint message said Landaba was recognised for his valour during assignments across various locations of WESEA region since the age of 18.It also disclosed that Landaba was part of the 'Puraolon' ambush Of June 4, 2015 in which a joint operation of KCP, KYKL and NSCN-K targeted a convoy of Indian army's 6 Dogra Regiment between Moltuk and Puraolon villages in Chandel district, killing 18 Indian soldiers and inflicting injuries to 15 others.

Corporal Ahanthem Bishan, son of Ahanthem Kumarijit and Pishak of Khurai Thoidingjam Leikai, was the youngest child in his family.
He was remembered as a spirited and courageous revolutionary who assumed various responsibilities of the organisation.
While sharing pain and grief of the families of Landaba and Bishan, the joint condolence message also conveyed that the void left by two revolutionaries would be hard to fill.
PREPAK condoles
IMPHAL: The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and its armed wing Red Army (RA) deeply condoled the death of two revolutionaries during a fire-fight between a combined force of revolutionaries and joint Indian security forces and their proxy forces.
According to a condolence message of PREPAK, 2nd Lt Oinam Telheiba alias Landaba (36) of Meeyamgi Yawol Laanmee (MYL), the armed wing of KYKL, and L Cpl Ahanthem Bishan alias Kanglei (29) of Meeyamgi Fingang Lanmee (MFL), the armed wing of KCP, lost their lives during the battle along the Manipur-Myanmar border on April 25 night.
The Party also shared pain and grief of the families of the deceased Landaba and Bishan and paid the highest revolutionary salute to both.
The combined force of revolutionaries of Kangleipak (Manipur) have been successful in countering forces trying to suppress the revolutionary movement in the region, it added.
