Nishikant takes missing youth case to Bhalla

Keishamthong AC MLA Sapam Nishikant has appealed Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla for intensified efforts to secure the safe return of Luwangthem Mukesh during a meeting held at Raj Bhavan at 4.30 pm today.
Luwangthem Mukesh has been missing since March 16 after leaving home in a red Maruti Alto at 2 pm.
During the meeting, the Keishamthong AC MLA submitted a memorandum to the Governor and urged him to trace the 20 year old youth who has been missing for more than 11 days now and put the anxieties of his parents, Luwangthem Gyanendra Das and Luwangthem Omi, family and other well-wishers, including the concerned JAC, to rest.
He sought a detailed investigation conducted by Manipur police and other relevant authorities to secure Mukesh's safe return.
Speaking to media persons at Raj Bhavan gate after the meeting, Sapam Nishikant said that in response to his appeal, Governor Bhalla informed him that the Govt is putting in all efforts to find Mukesh with updates on the case being delivered everyday.
According to a report from Manipur police and Assam Rifles check post, Mukesh made his way towards Joujangtek area but did not cross Ngariyan Naga village.
However, the red Maruti Alto that Mukesh was driving has remained untraceable so far, said the MLA.
At the meeting, he appealed for intensified efforts and use of all machinery and resources at the disposal of the Government to find Mukesh and hand him over to his family, Sapam Nishikant told media persons.
The MLA further expressed belief that the Governor, who is a former Union Home Secretary will be able to find out Mukesh's whereabouts.
Additionally, seeking the help of the Indian Army to help resolve the matter, he also spoke with Brigadier Boral who is deployed at Keithelmanbi yesterday.
Today, the MLA spoke with Rajiv Singh, DGP of Manipur Police and discussed the steps taken by the police so far to find Mukesh.
