Delivering the keynote address, MAYOL president Asem Prince highlighted the critical challenges that have pushed the state towards a downward trend and stressed the need for introspection to address the division among indigenous communities despite facing an existential threat.
Asem Prince emphasised that youths, who are the pillars of society and the future leaders, must walk the right path with the right mindset to build a new and better Manipur.

He underscored the importance of dialogue, debate, and discussions to guide the youth in the right direction.
Touching upon the de teriorating political landscape, he lamented that the 23-month-old crisis remains unresolved while politicians remain engaged in a race for power and post.
The prolonged crisis has crippled the economy, making society heavily dependent and leading to the loss of social morality.
He noted that unthinkable incidents are happening daily, eroding social trust, unity, norms, and discipline.
He also pointed out that the culture has been degraded to a large extent, and the identities of indigenous communities are gradually being lost.
Expressing concern over the drastic demographic changes that have put indigenous communities on the losing end, he stated that corruption has become the new normal.
Environmental degradation and the deteriorating ecological balance were also highlighted.
He further raised alarm over the rising menace of drug abuse among the youth, which has left society in disarray.
In light of these challenges, Asem Prince said the conclave was organised with the objective of bringing positive changes among the youth by instilling political and revolutionary consciousness.
He called upon the people of the state, especially the youth, to identify the pressing issues and challenges and move forward with a renewed sense of nationalism.
The opening day of the conclave featured two sessions, both moderated by Impact TV chief editor Yumnam Rupachandra.
In the morning session, historian Dr Malem Ningthouja spoke on "A Perspective on the Theory of Manipur's Economic Under-Development Since 1947" .
