Imphal, September 19 2025: Assam Rifles has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service through a series of impactful initiatives across flood-affected regions of Manipur.

With over 60 personnel and officials mobilized, the force extended timely medical aid, essential supplies, and clean drinking water to vulnerable communities in Imphal West and Thoubal districts, exemplifying its ethos as the "Sentinels of the North East" .

As per a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive medical camp at Maibam Mayang Imphal in Imphal West district on September 19 .

The camp drew participation from over 200 residents, including women, children, and the elderly.

Medical officers and nursing assistants conducted detailed health check-ups, distributed free medicines, and offered preventive care guidance tailored to local needs.

The initiative not only addressed pressing health concerns but also fostered trust and strengthened the bond between the security forces and the community.

In a parallel effort at the same location, Assam Rifles also distributed ration and essential commodities to 50 families affected by recent flood-like conditions.

Each household received vital supplies such as rice, pulses, cooking oil, and salt, providing immediate relief and restoring a sense of stability amidst adversity.

Further extending its outreach, Assam Rifles reached Irong Chesaba in Thoubal district, where 200 flood-affected households were provided with safe drinking water.

With potable water in short supply due to the crisis, this intervention proved critical in safeguarding public health and alleviating distress.

The coordinated efforts reflected Assam Rifles' holistic approach to service- where operational readiness is matched by compassion and community care.
