Inaugural ceremony of "Yoga Through Sanskrit" pilot project held

Bishnupur, May 17 2026:
Radha Madhava Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Nambol, organised the inaugural ceremony of the one-year pilot project tided "Yoga through San-skrit(2025-2026)" on Sunday at the college auditorium, under the Ashtaadashi Project of the Central Sanskrit University.
The programme commenced with the registration of participants, followed by invocation, Saraswati Vandata and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
A Opendra Meitei, IQAC Coordinator, delivered the welcome address.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Chakradhar Mehar, OSD of the Ashtaadashi Project, Central Sanskrit University, highlighted the importance of integrating Yoga and Sanskrit for holistic education and preservation of Indian cultural heritage.

Prof Shyam Sundar Rath, spoke on the relevance of Yoga, Indian knowledge traditions and Sanskrit education in modem society.
Yoga instructors P Raghumani Singh and Dr K Mukta Singh also addressed the gathering and elaborated on the significance of yogic practices and Sanskrit-based learning methodologies.
The Principal of the college delivered a special address encouraging students to participate in the programme actively.
A live demonstration of Yogasana and Pranayama was conducted for the participants, followed by an insightful session on Yoga Darshan by Dr Aditya N Dash.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by H Sanayaima Singh.
