Thoubal, April 02 2025: A sit-in protest was staged at Thoubal Sabaltongba Awang Leikai today denouncing the incident where some miscreants opened fire at two residences of Thoubal Sabaltongba Awang Leikai in the intervening night of March 31 and April 1 .

The sit-in protest was jointly organised by the Royal Development Association, Sabaltongba and Sabaltongba Awang Leikai Meira Paibi Lup.

Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, Sanasam Biren, excouncillor of Thoubal Municipal Council ward no 13 vehemently condemned the firing incident carried out in a residential area and urged all concerned to not repeat such an act in future.

He further appealed to all concerned to step forward and issue a clarification through press media even if it was occurred due to a mistake.
