High Court of Manipur drives digital transformation with digitization training

The High Court of Manipur conducted a comprehensive training programme on Saturday, focused on the scanning and digitization of case records to accelerate the transition to a paperless environment.
The initiative aimed to enhance document security, improve retrieval efficiency, and equip Court staff with the necessary skills to handle high-volume digitization projects as Courts move towards digital operations.
The programme covered key aspects of best practices in document preparation, highspeed scanning, quality control, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), secure upload to DSpace, the Document Management System.
The training ensured that documents are digitized with high precision, properly indexed, secure, and easily accessible.
The initiative aligned with the eCommittee Supreme Court of India's broader strategy to reduce dependency on physical file storage, enabling faster case analysis and improved productivity.
The function was graced by several dignitaries, including Justice Aribam Guneshwar Sharma, Judge, High Court of Manipur; Ojesh Mutum, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur; and K Nirojit, Central Project Coordinator, High Court of Manipur.
To date, approximately 59,65,562 pages of case records from the High Court and 58,87,698 pages from the District Courts have been digitized.
