Imphal, April 26 2025:
Preparing the ground for a mega public convention on May 3 commemorating the start of the violent conflict two years ago, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) continued its series of public meetings across several districts today.
At a meeting, organised by the COCOMI Kakching district branch at Panthoibi Laibung today, COCOMI Mobilisation Committee convenor, YK Dhiren reiterated that the "war" launched by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists is a "proxy war" designed by the Government of India.
He asserted that the Centre has not taken up any concrete steps sincerely to resolve the conflict.
Even after nearly two years, the Government of India has not taken up any concrete steps to resolve the conflict.
Instead, it is trying to spin a wrong narrative of the conflict, YK Dhiren said.
He further accused the Government of India of harbouring SoO Kuki militants and using them as "proxy armies" .
The ongoing conflict will end when the Government of India reigns in SoO Kuki militants and controls them.
However, no action has been taken against these militants, he said.
The Government of India's attitude and its inaction call for people to raise a strong voice.
People must urge the Government to take concrete steps to resolve the conflict, he added.
He appealed to the people to attend COCOMI's mega public convention on May 3 .
People from Wabagai, Langmeidong, Umathel, Kakching Khunou, Wangoo Lamkhai, Wangoo, Chairen, Khongyang, Korsantabi, Wakokpi, Sugnu, Tangjeng and Serou attended the meeting.
